Tessier’s Inc., the Midwest’s premier mechanical contractor, has an immediate opening for the full-time position of HVAC Service Leader in our Brookings, SD location. The Service Leader will be involved in all aspects of the company’s HVAC service activities ranging from leading service technicians to estimating to maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.  This position will report directly to the General Service Manager.  A typical week will be M-F, 40-50 hours, with overtime pay after 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead HVAC service department including technician schedules, training, and mentoring.
• Provide skilled service, repair, installation and commissioning to a variety of new and existing HVAC mechanical systems in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and residential settings.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates as necessary.
• Lead internal and external sales efforts for location.

Education and Work Experience:

• Two-year technical degree and five years of experience is required.
• Two years of leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• A background in the HVAC field is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proven HVAC industry knowledge.
• Proven sales record/aptitude.
• Ability to lead multiple on-going initiatives.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Highly skilled in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to prepare project estimates or proposals.
• Proven track record of leading and developing a team.
• Strong computer proficiencies in the Microsoft suite of products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clean and valid driver’s license.
