The Armed Forces Reserve training Facility was designed and constructed in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sustainable Project Rating Tool (SPiRiT), the USACE counterpart to the LEED certification system. The heating, ventilating and air conditioning system serving the Armed Forces Reserve Center is comprised of a central boiler plant, a high efficiency air-cooled water chiller, central station air handling units, variable air volume (VAV) terminals, and overhead air distribution system, and a direct digital temperature control and building automation system.
